PingProperties has fully let office building in the port of Rotterdam

22-03-2022

The striking office building at Oude Maasweg 2 in Rotterdam, comprising 2,468 m² LFA and with spectacular views across the Nieuwe Waterweg, is fully let again. Over the past two years PingProperties has signed new leases with a range of well-known port-based businesses, so that the building is once again fully occupied.

Part of the building is in use as the head office of Dura Vermeer Haven & Industrie. DIMCO, LBC, Koninklijke Roeiers Vereeniging Eendracht (KRVE) and the Nederlands Loodswezen Rotterdam-Rijnmond have also moved into the building. PingProperties has made the building future-proof by modernizing the climate systems, installing energy-efficient LED lighting and renovating the sanitary facilities. The result, energy label A, is a considerable improvement on the energy label G the building used to have.

‘Thanks to the sustainable renovation work and the unique location, but also the collaboration with Ooms Makelaars Bedrijfshuisvesting, a number of well-known port-based businesses have chosen for this building. We look back on a successful and constructive collaboration’, says Sander Rovers, Head of Asset Management at PingProperties.

Strategically situated
This striking office building is at a unique location in the port district of Rotterdam, centrally located in the Botlek and on the banks of the River Maas. The Botlek is a port and industrial district, characterized by its specialization in petrochemical industries and tank storage businesses. Several major companies are based in the vicinity, such as ExxonMobil, Cargill B.V., Shell, Odfjell, VOPAK, Damen Shipyards and AKZO Nobel.

The office building is strategically located on the A15 motorway connecting to the port area and the city of Rotterdam, while The Hague and Amsterdam are also quickly reached by car via the extended section of the A4 motorway. The building’s position on a breakwater and close to the jetties also makes it extremely accessible for shipping.
