“It gives me so much energy to work together every day on a fantastic project, to play a hands-on role and ultimately to bring the project to a successful conclusion.” Collaboration is very important in my job; not only with colleagues, but with third parties too. At PingProperties we work in a relatively small team on large, complex projects, so it’s good to be able to build on each other and have confidence that your colleagues are there for you when you need them. In the Re(Development) department where I work, we work very specifically and visibly on development. These are often long processes, in which you create a new future for existing, outdated buildings by developing and transforming them into modern buildings that meet the demands of today, while respecting and preserving their character. It gives me so much energy to work together every day on a fantastic project, to play a hands-on role and ultimately to bring the project to a successful conclusion.

“My Delft background in analysing and thinking from a design point of view is really useful here.” After graduating from the TU Delft I started work straight away as asset manager with PingProperties, the company where I also did my internship. Within the organization I am given the scope to work independently on visibly improving our property portfolio, but it must always make good financial sense. My Delft background in analysing and thinking from a design point of view is really useful here. I believe it is important to give 100% to achieve the aims I set myself, and I am quite insistent on that. At PingProperties I am given all the freedom to develop my career further. And as long as your initiatives are rational, there’s plenty of scope here to make it happen.

“The impression is often given that a financial spends the whole day at his computer. But the opposite is true here.” The impression is often given that a financial spends the whole day at his computer. But the opposite is true here. That’s because everything that happens within the company will sooner or later involve the Finance department. And it is precisely this interaction that is needed with other departments that makes our work so varied and enjoyable. The challenge is in getting this collaboration working smoothly. For example, by ensuring that the right colleagues get involved at the right time. This happens easily at PingProperties because the lines of communication are very short.

Internships

PingProperties enjoys creating opportunities for talented students who are looking for internships or placements for their thesis or graduation. Are you taking a course related to property (such as building and architecture at a university of technology or property studies) or a financial, marketing-related study and are you looking for a challenging internship? Then please contact us to discuss the options.

Experiences interns

“During my internship I was given the freedom to decide for myself how to go about the task, and there were always colleagues around to guide me.”
Bjørn de Wever
student business economics and trainee in the Finance department
“My internship, when I was involved with the development of a hotel, was highly varied and extremely educational: one day I was on the building site, the next day in the office.”
Stacy van den Brink
student construction Management and Engineering (TU/E) and trainee in the (Re)Development department
“Thanks to the short lines of communication within the organization, you get to see all the facets of the property world and I have gained a lot of practical experience. A valuable addition to the theoretical part of my studies!”
Jeremi Oudot
student Management in the Built Environment (TU Delft) and trainee in the Investments Management department.

Our culture

At PingProperties we maintain an informal and transparent culture, in which we prefer objectives rather than hierarchy. Everyone is willing to help one another if needed. We respect each other’s commitment and know that can enhance each other. We are all highly committed and driven, strive to achieve exceptional results and build on effective relationships, both within and outside our organization. We are proud of the results we achieve.

We enjoy taking up challenges and stay focused on finding solutions, where decisiveness is all-important. We do this while grounded in our core values: reliability, ownership and perseverance.

But it’s not all hard work. We enjoy getting together for recreational activities during, but also outside work.
