Lease extension and expansion for Sivantos at the Dutch Tech Campus, Zoetermeer

04-08-2020

PingProperties – acting on behalf of its Siemens Tech Campus Fund – has extended by 12 years and expanded the lease it has with lessee Sivantos B.V. at the Dutch Tech Campus (DTC), located in the Dutch Innovation Park in Zoetermeer. The expansion is the result of the merger between the hearing aid giants Sivantos and Widex, whose new business will now continue under the name WSAudiology. Widex will leave its offices in Gouda and relocate to the Dutch Tech Campus. This makes WSAudiology’s total lettable floor area 1,396 m² in size, with it also having access to 31 parking spaces.

Sivantos has been a regular lessee at the Dutch Tech Campus for many years now. As soon as PingProperties bought the DTC in 2015, it started repositioning the site as a campus (the Dutch Tech Campus) by upgrading the shared facilities and improving the mobility facilities, in order to increase the customer satisfaction felt by the standing lessees and to attract new lessees. Further major investment is planned for the future too. This is an important reason why WSAudiology has decided to extend and even expand its presence at this site.

Dutch Tech Campus, Zoetermeer
The Dutch Tech Campus is a campus on the site of the former Siemens complex that is located in the heart of the Randstad conurbation in the municipality of Zoetermeer. This is where a wide range of national and international companies who are active in smart technology, ICT and logistics are linked together. Existing and new lessees can share knowledge and collaborate, thus creating an inspirational work environment with mutual synergy benefits. The complex is 13 hectares in size and houses 10 different buildings. It includes both office space and high-grade business and production premises with a total floor area of some 42,000 m² LFA (lettable floor area). The site is still very much under development and is being transformed into a top-quality and completely sustainable business park. This campus now hosts a wide range of successful companies that are active in such areas as smart technology, ICT and logistics, these companies including Siemens Mobility, ATOS medical, Teleplan and Grey Valley.
