PingProperties improves sustainability of office building at Oude Maasweg to achieve Energy Label A

28-01-2021

PingProperties has improved the sustainability of the office building at Oude Maasweg 2 in Rotterdam-Botlek to achieve Energy Label A. This result is a significant improvement on the Energy label G that the office building, with a lettable floor area of 2,468 m2, originally had.

This Energy Label A has been achieved by making substantial improvements to the building, with full upgrades to all the systems. The central heating boilers and air-conditioning units have been replaced, the roof covering has been replaced to improve its insulation properties and photovoltaic panels have been installed. The lighting in the building has also been replaced with durable LED lighting. These improvements have now ensured that the building on Oude Maasweg is future-proof with Energy Label A and helped to attract two large, well-known port-based companies which have now moved into the building.

Sustainable business
Improvements to the sustainability of existing office buildings has been high on PingProperties’ agenda for many years. Buildings are being fitted with energy-saving lighting as well as intelligent and energy-efficient heating, cooling, ventilation and solar panels. The power of sustainability is found in the intensive cooperation between lessee and lessor, which makes these sustainability projects feasible and profitable. During the coming years PingProperties will ensure that all its buildings become and remain future-proof.
