Upgraded Shopping Centre Carnisse Veste Completed

Over the past few years, PingProperties has fully upgraded shopping centre Carnisse Veste into a modern daily convenience centre with a strong focus on everyday shopping, convenience and accessibility.

Redevelopment
Carnisse Veste is a neighbourhood shopping centre consisting of two levels and approximately 50 retail units. In recent years, visitor numbers on the upper level declined, leading to increasing vacancy. Through the redevelopment, PingProperties has revitalised this level and made the shopping centre future-proof once again.

The redevelopment included the installation of a new inclined travelator, which forms the physical connection between the two levels and the parking garage. This creates a fully integrated shopping centre where visitors can easily reach all shops with a single shopping cart.

Space has been created on the upper level for a new supermarket: Lidl. In addition to the existing supermarkets Jumbo and Albert Heijn, Carnisse Veste will now also offer a discount supermarket. There is strong demand for this in the wider Carnisselande area. Lidl makes a healthy and sustainable lifestyle affordable and accessible for a broad group of residents.

Together with the existing anchor tenant Action, the supermarket will act as a major footfall generator on the upper level. Other tenants on this floor will benefit significantly from the increased visitor flow. As a result, the shopping centre as a whole now has a sustainable and long-term future.
