PingProperties delivers sustainable redevelopment to TKH Security B.V. at Dutch Tech Campus
04-04-2024
Following a nine-month renovation, PingProperties has delivered a fully sustainable and future-proof office building of approximately 4,000 m2 to TKH Security at the Dutch Tech Campus (DTC) in Zoetermeer.
On 2 April PingProperties, BAM Bouw en Techniek and TKH Security officially signed the delivery of the office building. The 1,575 m2 of ancillary commercial space had already been delivered in October last year. With this redevelopment, BAM Bouw en Techniek, contracted by PingProperties, has completely transformed an outdated building of approximately 6,000 m2 into a sustainable and future-proof building with energy label A+. To achieve this, all of the technical building services have been renewed and the building now has heat pumps, solar panels and a sedum roof.
At the end of 2022 PingProperties and TKH Security signed a long-term lease, an important element of which was this redevelopment. TKH Security itself is investing in the building by installing a new package of fixtures and fittings, where sustainability and flexibility play an important role. Alongside these measures to make the building sustainable, TKH has invested in an extremely inviting main entrance and atrium in the core of the building that links several floors with each other.
TKH Security expects to move into this start-of-the-art office building and commercial space in June this year.
TKH Security B.V.
TKH Security B.V. is part of the listed company TKH Group N.V. TKH Security develops and produces high-end technological solutions in security and mobility.
Development of Dutch Tech Campus
By attracting TKH Security as a new tenant, PingProperties has taken another significant step in the development of the Dutch Tech Campus and the creation of a sustainable, future-proof campus for smart technology businesses working at the interface of Communication, Mobility, and e-Healthcare. The cluster of high-quality technology companies, together with the ICT courses offered by the Hague University of Applied Sciences, makes Dutch Tech Campus one of the strongest places in the region to establish a business. This is underlined by the high-quality technical and sustainable specifications of the buildings, as well as excellent accessibility by car and very good public transport served by Zoetermeer-Oost railway station and by tram with RandstadRail.
