PingProperties recently signed a 20-year lease with the Jan van Goyen Medical Center (100% subsidiary of the OLVG hospital) for the ‘De Lairesse’ building in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. Together with the Valerius building, De Lairesse forms a nationally listed building prominently located on the corner of the well-known De Lairessestraat and Valeriusplein in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid.
The Jan van Goyen Medical Center will be leasing around 1,568 m2 LFA in the building and will move in in phases. The interior will undergo a thorough renovation and upgrade for letting purposes, as part of the investment programme to raise the complex to a high level of sustainability. The ambition is to achieve energy label A++ and BREEAM Excellent certification while respecting the historic character of the building.
The De Lairesse building has a floor area of 3,522 m² LFA and a basement car park. The main tenant in the building is DC Klinieken.
Sander Rovers (Investment Manager – PingProperties): ‘The Jan van Goyen Medical Center plays an important role in providing essential care in this densely populated district of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. I am proud that we can accommodate such a publicly relevant function in our building, which is also perfectly aligned with our letting strategy through the purchase of the building, with an emphasis on care. We would also like to thank Hemma Honders and her team for the positive working relationship and an exceptionally efficient and enjoyable process.’
Hemma Honders, director of the Jan van Goyen Medical and Aesthetic Center: ‘We are delighted with this new step for the Jan van Goyen Medical Center. This historic building, sustainably renovated by PingProperties, gives us the opportunity to further expand our medical and aesthetic care and serve our patients even better. We will be offering specialist care in the new building, such as orthopaedics, surgery, dermatology, ENT and radiology. What’s more, there will be room for healthcare not covered by insurance, such as plastic surgery. The other healthcare providers also based in the building mean that we can work closely together and put the patient at the heart of what we do. In short: this location is a perfect fit for our vision of high-quality healthcare, in a welcoming and modern environment.’
