PingProperties welcomes new lessee Solarfields Cascade complex, Groningen
PingProperties recently signed a new lease with Solarfields, which will lease approx. 631 m² of office space in the Cascade complex at Emmasingel 4 in Groningen. PingProperties is delighted to welcome this market leader in sustainable energy as a new lessee. Solarfields will move into its new offices on the 4th floor in early 2020.
About Cascade complex
At present the entire complex is being upgraded in phases to achieve Energy label A. Sustainability improvements have already been made to two parts of the building, including replacing the lighting with LEDs, while the plans to improve the sustainability of the other parts of the building have been completed. The entire Cascade complex has approx. 34,000 m² of office space and accommodates large organizations, including the Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) and the Land Registry (Kadaster).
Solarfields is market leader in land-based solar parks, and over the last few years has proved itself to be an extremely reliable partner in building sustainable energy projects in the Netherlands. Solarfields promotes the development of solar parks in order to contribute to and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. The first solar parks have already been built and Solarfields has at least a further 150 solar projects in the pipeline, together representing more than 2,000 hectares. Solarfields was advised in this lease transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.
New lessees Eudokiaplein: Tulp Educatie and Stichting ASVZ
PingProperties recently signed long-term leases with Tulp Educatie and Stichting ASVZ for the Eudokiaplein office and retail complex in Rotterdam. The leases are for a total lettable floor area of 400 sqm. The arrival of both new lessees ties in well with PingProperties’ ambition to bring together lessees in the care and welfare sector at Eudokiaplein for the long term.
PingProperties renews lease with Burger King until 2034
PingProperties recently renewed the lease with Burger King Restaurants B.V. by 7.5 years for the Burger King restaurant at ’s-Gravelandseweg in Schiedam. The lease will continue until 2034 and is for a lettable floor area of 620 m2.
Lars Heger joined Asset Management team PingProperties
On 13 January, Lars Heger joined the current team at PingProperties and take up his position as Asset Manager. He will share commercial responsibility for the buildings in the PingProperties portfolio. In 2016 Lars obtained his Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam. For the past two years he has been working as a valuer for JLL.
