PingProperties welcomes new lessee Solarfields Cascade complex, Groningen
PingProperties recently signed a new lease with Solarfields, which will lease approx. 631 m² of office space in the Cascade complex at Emmasingel 4 in Groningen. PingProperties is delighted to welcome this market leader in sustainable energy as a new lessee. Solarfields will move into its new offices on the 4th floor in early 2020.
About Cascade complex
At present the entire complex is being upgraded in phases to achieve Energy label A. Sustainability improvements have already been made to two parts of the building, including replacing the lighting with LEDs, while the plans to improve the sustainability of the other parts of the building have been completed. The entire Cascade complex has approx. 34,000 m² of office space and accommodates large organizations, including the Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) and the Land Registry (Kadaster).
Solarfields is market leader in land-based solar parks, and over the last few years has proved itself to be an extremely reliable partner in building sustainable energy projects in the Netherlands. Solarfields promotes the development of solar parks in order to contribute to and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. The first solar parks have already been built and Solarfields has at least a further 150 solar projects in the pipeline, together representing more than 2,000 hectares. Solarfields was advised in this lease transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.

The 143-room lifestyle hotel was created in 2016 from the redevelopment of the former office building of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND). PingProperties concludes financing agreement for Blauwhoed Head Office in Rotterdam
PingProperties has concluded a financing agreement with RNHB for the head office of project developer Blauwhoed at Lichtenauerlaan 80 in Rotterdam. PingProperties acquired the Blauwhoed building in August this year on behalf of one of its investors by means of a long-term sale-and-leaseback arrangement. The building was acquired in an all-equity deal. During the coming months PingProperties expects to let the last vacant space in the building, bringing the business plan further to completion.
PingProperties purchases head office of drinking water company Dunea Zoetermeer
PingProperties is adding to its property portfolio with the purchase of the head office of the drinking water company Dunea in Zoetermeer. The purchase was made for the recently launched PingProperties Corporate Office fund XII and is in keeping with PingProperties’ vision to establish connections in the long term with high-potential assets. PingProperties attracted new finance from NIBC for this purchase.
