PingProperties renews lease for Dunea head office in Zoetermeer
22-12-2021
PingProperties has reached agreement on the renewal of the lease for the head office of the drinking water company Dunea. By renewing this lease, Dunea is once again committing itself to the building for the long term.
Dunea’s head office at Plein van de Verenigde Naties 11-16 in Zoetermeer has been part of PingProperties’ portfolio since 2019. The characteristic half-moon shaped building, designed by Graziosi Progetti architects, has a lettable floor area of 8,519 m2. The head office is at a prime location immediately adjacent to the railway station and the A12 motorway and has an excellent parking ratio.
In 2013 the building was completely stripped and given new facades, resulting in energy label A. In 2022 PingProperties will start making further improvements to the building’s sustainability. Around 168 solar panels will be installed on the roof and all the lighting in the building will be replaced by sustainable LED lighting. The rear entrance will also be modernized.
Dunea produces and supplies around 1.4 million customers with pure, reliable drinking water in the western part of Zuid-Holland. For more than 140 years Dunea has managed and protected the dunes and natural environment between Monster and Katwijk where its drinking water comes from. Clean drinking water, peace and quiet and space in the Randstad form the basis for a good life. That is why Dunea is always seeking new solutions and opportunities for drinking water and the natural environment.
