PingProperties sells multi-purpose warehouse at Dutch Tech Campus to an international institutional investor
23-01-2023
PingProperties recently sold the multifunctional commercial building at Dutch Tech Campus in Zoetermeer. It is a building covering approx. 21,000 m² that is let to Lamboo Medical (approx. 15,500 m²) and Siemens (approx. 5,500 m²).
The commercial building is exceptionally sustainable, gas-free and with underfloor heating. As a result, the building can be used both now and in the future for a full range of functions, from fully automated logistics to the fine-meshed production of high-grade components. The sustainability theme was already the focus of attention during the preparatory work; the demolition waste from the former Siemens building that had stood on the site has been recycled to create the rubble bed on which the new building now stands. In addition, the building’s facilities, including solar panels, energy storage, charging infrastructure and energy monitoring, have been developed to achieve stringent energy objectives. The building has been constructed in accordance with BREEAM standards and complies with the standards set by the EU in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). It is also Siemens’s ambition to implement a Smart Grid solution on the site, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions even further.
Maarten Marze, CIO PingProperties: ‘We are delighted that Dutch Tech Campus is attracting institutional capital. Thanks to the development and positioning of the innovation campus, during the past two years we have strongly outperformed the local markets, for both commercial and office space. In doing so we are once again delivering on our brand promise: ‘creating a lasting difference’, and through this deal our performance is being recognized by the capital markets.’
The buyer was advised by Nadorp Bedrijfsmakelaars (commercial), Savills (technical) and Loyens & Loeff (legal). Seller was assisted by Loyens & Loeff (legal) and Plan B (technical).
