PingProperties successfully reaches lease deal with AOb for Trappenburch in Utrecht
07-03-2016
Recently PingProperties concluded a new long-term lease with the General Union of Educational Personnel (Algemene Onderwijsbond – AOb) for a total of 3,828 m² of office space and 10 parking spaces in the Trappenburch office building on Kroonstraat in Utrecht.
With more than 82,000 members, the AOb is the largest education trade union in the Netherlands. AOb promotes the interests of its members in all education sectors, from primary through to higher professional education.
PingProperties began at the start of the year with the sustainable redevelopment of the Trappenburch building. This refurbishment project involves intensive work on improving the sustainability of the building and will bring its energy label up from G to A. Once the work has been completed, Trappenburch will have new building-related systems, new curtain walls, a new roof covering and retrofitted insulation in the basement, on the roofs and in the columns, while preserving the characteristic features of Trappenburch. AOb will move into the building on 1 January 2017.
PingProperties was advised by JLL and received legal assistance from Loyens & Loeff. AOb was advised by Solved.
