A flying start for Stadshart Daily Plaza: visitor numbers up by more than 60%!

Since its transformation, the covered shopping arcade in Zoetermeer has already attracted more than 100,000 extra visitors each month.
Following the redevelopment of the covered arcade in Stadshart Zoetermeer, Stadshart Daily Plaza is enjoying unprecedented success. The number of visitors has risen by no less than 62% since the completion of the initial redevelopment phase. According to PingProperties, the creator and owner of the project, the transformation of the arcade into a modern daily convenience centre is a triumph.
The opening of a Dirk supermarket on 8 January 2025 immediately attracted thousands of visitors and marked the start of a new phase for Stadshart Daily Plaza. ‘The interest shown during the festive opening was overwhelming and confirms that this redevelopment clearly meets a public need,’ says Jeroen Puik, Asset Manager at PingProperties.
Alongside the Dirk supermarket, the revamped shops of Jamin and Intertoys, the new branches of Trekpleister, Pet’s Place, Iper Megastores, Goudsmid Atelier Gregor and the popular Kiddieland are contributing to the rising number of visitors. Accessibility has also been significantly improved with the new, modern indoor car park P11, where two comfortable travelators give direct access to the arcade, enabling shoppers to take their shopping straight from shop to car.
During the coming weeks PingProperties will put the finishing touches to the shop fronts, installing new column finishes and making the entire lighting system future-proof. The arrival of Lunchroom Sweetlake, as well as Atelier Daily Plaza offering services such as clothing repairs, key cutting, dry-cleaners and a shoe repair service, will add to the success of Stadshart Daily Plaza. PingProperties is also in far-reaching negotiations with several attractive retailers for the retail units still vacant. Few details can be given about this at the moment, but the aim is for Stadshart Daily Plaza to be fully let with a complementary range of shops. The arcade will then be an even more attractive shopping centre for visitors and businesses.
