Office building Bloeyendael is delivered to PLUS Retail
25-02-2014
After an intensive redevelopment period of 7 months, office building Bloeyendael, located at the Archimedeslaan 21 in Utrecht, is delivered to tenant PLUS Retail.
The redevelopment of office building Bloeyendael for PLUS Retail is a beautiful project that was carried out in record time. On 1 July 2013 the redevelopment started, and on 17 February 2014 PLUS Retail was operational in its new headquarters. The special feature is that an existing outdated office building is tailored to the user by eliminating 2,100 sqm lettable floor office, by renovating and preserving the remaining 6,000 sqm and by turnkey redesigning through new materials and techniques. The building meets the most modern requirements a tenant wants for its housing nowadays.
Bloeyendael is chosen by PLUS as the best building for its new service office in a tender of up to 65 buildings. Bloeyendael is located in office park Rijnsweerd. This is the best office location of Utrecht, after the city center. Important factors that have played a role are the unique location and excellent accessibility, the ability to create a completely standalone building with its own identity and being able to be housed in an existing building with a green label.
PLUS is the supermarket with which the Sperwer Group, full service organization for independent entrepreneurs, manifests itself in the market. The Sperwer Group, founded in 1928, has a cooperative structure, all PLUS entrepreneurs are a member of it. There are in total 216 independent PLUS entrepreneurs who have a total of 255 supermarkets.
This transaction, where an obsolete building is prepared for the modern time, is made possible by the close cooperation between the parties involved. On behalf of the owner BAM Utiliteitsbouw has done the revitalization. Nivab Vastgoedadvies was responsible for the construction supervision and KWK was responsible for the technical supervision of PLUS.
