PingProperties delivers new carwash for BOB Autowas in Rotterdam IJsselmonde
On behalf of one of its companies, PingProperties has developed a brand-new, hypermodern carwash in cooperation with BOB Autowas. The carwash is located at Drachmestraat 2 on the Cornelisland business park in Rotterdam IJsselmonde. The development is on a plot of 3,500 m² and the building itself has a floor area of 2,812 m². The addition of this carwash has increased considerably the catchment area served by BOB Autowas in the Rijnmond region. The carwash in fact complements the existing BOB Autowas branches in Rotterdam-Zuid and Schiedam.
The trust that has been built up between PingProperties and BOB Autowas over many years has led to excellent cooperation with this development as the result. PingProperties financed the construction of the carwash by BOB Autowas, while BOB Autowas, which has recently moved into the new building, committed itself to the site with a 15-year lease.
Sander Rovers van PingProperties: ‘PingProperties and BOB Autowas have worked extremely closely together since 2004. This trust and our belief in the philosophy of BOB Autowas have laid the foundation for the development of this carwash palace. What they will be doing at this location is unique!’.
Mark de Graaf, CEO of BOB Autowas: ‘Strengthening our presence and public profile in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region has been one of our aims for a long time. Our new site means that no-one can avoid seeing us in the Rijnmond region. The opportunity to have a carwash at this fantastic spot with so much passing traffic was the deciding factor for us’.
About the branch
The new carwash has been specially developed in cooperation with the lessee and is also the first brand-new development of BOB Autowas. Construction has taken a year. The carwash is equipped with the very latest technical carwash innovation and guarantees a unique carwash experience. Its location at the intersection of the A15 and A16 motorways makes BOB Autowas IJsselmonde extremely accessible. The new carwash is a great addition to the existing BOB Autowas sites. It is on the edge of a new residential district and means that Bob Autowas is now able to serve the entire Rotterdam-Rijnmond region.
Mark de Graaf, CEO of BOB Autowas: ‘BOB Autowas Rotterdam-IJsselmonde is a dream come true for me personally. We have developed our present carwashes in existing buildings or through acquisitions. BOB Autowas IJsselmonde is our first carwash built from scratch. I am extremely grateful to PingProperties for giving us the opportunity and freedom to develop this fantastic building. It has enabled us to raise the bar even higher for our customers’ carwash experience. The carwash in IJsselmonde is devoted entirely to the customer experience, and this is reflected in the building’s design and decor. The surprising feeling created by an LED arch with fantastic content, the first hand wax conveyor in the world, the AutoSpa, the interior conveyor and naturally the best configuration of the Holz machine with ACE components, all brought together in a superb engine room. All these innovations make IJsselmonde the showpiece of BOB Autowas and a new benchmark for the carwash sector’.
About BOB Autowas
At the end of 2004, BOB Autowas was the first carwash company in the Netherlands to introduce an interior cleaning conveyor. This was a new development at the time that was unique in the Netherlands and has become a great success. BOB Autowas focuses on creating a unique carwash experience by using moving images and other gadgets. The company now has 19 carwashes in the Netherlands, including the new carwash in IJsselmonde, as well as two abroad, making BOB Autowas the market leader in the Dutch carwash sector. www.bobautowas.nl
