PingProperties and the Government Buildings Agency have signed a new lease for Het Boek
31-03-2010
The Dutch Government Buildings Agency has signed a new lease with PingProperties for the ‘Het Boek’ office building in Amsterdam, popularly known as ‘De Knip’. The Agency has signed the lease for the Tax and Customs Administration for a term of 15 years.
The owner will invest in the quality and sustainability of the building, so that it will meet today’s requirements. This transaction demonstrates that it is perfectly possible to bring existing buildings up to the standards of today’s occupiers. An innovative type of contract was chosen, of which a Service Level Agreement forms an integral part. This ensures the long-term preservation of the building’s quality.
The building is a true landmark with a floor area of 40,000 sqm of office space in the Teleport office location in Amsterdam. It is directly visible from the A10 ring road and, being a stone’s throw from the Sloterdijk railway station, it is readily accessible by train and metro. The property is owned by PingProperties Corporate Office fund I managed by PingProperties.
