PingProperties improves sustainability at Stadshart Daily Plaza in Zoetermeer
24-02-2026
PingProperties is taking an important step in making Stadshart Daily Plaza Zoetermeer more sustainable.
During the second and third quarter of 2026, far-reaching improvements will be made to reduce energy consumption and lessen the load on the energy network. The work will also improve comfort for visitors and retailers in Stadshart Daily Plaza.
Stadshart Daily Plaza’s existing air-conditioning system, now 30 to 40 years old, no longer meets current requirements in terms of energy consumption and sustainability. The old fans will therefore be replaced by smart, energy-saving fans which reduce energy consumption and make Daily Plaza more sustainable and economical in its use.
This work will not only deliver immediate maintenance and energy savings, but also contribute to a significant reduction in the load on the energy network. Daily Plaza will also have a new, smart control system. This will allow systems such as heating and ventilation to be better synchronized, resulting in lower energy consumption.
For a modern shopping centre, sustainability improvements are not an option but a natural part of future-proof property management. By continually investing in energy-efficient solutions, Stadshart Daily Plaza will continue to be attractive, comfortable and economically vibrant, both now and in the future.
Jeroen Puik, Asset Manager at PingProperties: “This project shows how innovative solutions can lead to real sustainability benefits for existing property.”
