PingProperties chooses new franchise formula for its hotel building at Schiphol
19-12-2018
Recently PingProperties signed a new franchise agreement with AccorHotels Services Netherlands B.V. (Accor) for its hotel building at Piet Guilonardweg 3 at Schiphol. From 21 December the hotel will continue under a new name: ibis Styles Amsterdam Airport.
The former office building that was redeveloped and transformed in 2015 and 2016 by PingProperties to create a sustainable lifestyle hotel opened its doors in October 2016. PingProperties succeeded in making the hotel profitable within just one year, however the cooperation with LHG, managed from Paris, proved not to meet the requirements that had been set. PingProperties expects to achieve substantial improvements with the rebranding.
The ibis Styles brand, with its unique interior and experience concept, has proved to be perfectly in keeping with the design of the existing hotel: a green oasis. This trendy hotel, in which every detail has been carefully thought out, has a stylish restaurant and cosy Skymaster bar. Guests are pleasantly surprised with each visit and welcomed in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
This is AccorHotels’ first ibis Styles hotel to open at Schiphol and the sixth ibis Styles hotel in the Netherlands. The ibis family consists of three brandformats: ibis, ibis budget and ibis Styles.
