31-03-2009
On 31 March 2009 the ‘Het Boek’ office building, located at Kingsfordweg 1 in Amsterdam, came into the possession of PingProperties Corporate Office Fund I, the management of which is in the hands of PingProperties B.V. The purchase contract had already been signed on 23 December 2008.
The office building, which is leased by the Tax and Customs Administration, has a total lettable floor area of approx. 39,475 sqm and around 650 parking spaces. This makes it the largest tax office in the Netherlands, accommodating some 2,200 tax officials. Located at a stone’s throw from the Sloterdijk public transport station and immediately adjoining the Amsterdam A10 ring road, the building is a true landmark.
In this transaction CB Richard Ellis advised PingProperties, and Jones Lang LaSalle acted as adviser to the vendor. SNS Property Finance, WestImmo and Van Lanschot Bankiers acted jointly as financing partners, with SNS Property Finance acting as lead arranger. Loyens & Loeff provided legal assistance during the transaction on behalf of PingProperties.
