PingProperties launches Dutch Tech Campus in Zoetermeer

01-04-2015

On 1 April PingProperties acquired the ownership of the Siemens Complex in Zoetermeer from Siemens Nederland for its most recently formed fund. The parties had agreed on the unconditional transaction back in December 2014. The site covers an area of no less than 130,000 m² of land with 10 buildings comprising a total of 42,412 m² of office space, high-quality business space and production space. The site also has a development potential of 36,000 m². Renowned technology companies such as Siemens, Atos, Teleplan and Nokia are already based here.

Dutch Tech Campus
The complex has an excellent central location in the Randstad conurbation, right alongside the A12 motorway. However, its existing monofunctional use means that the complex no longer meets today’s requirements. The current user tends to go more specifically for central, lively locations which are also suitable as meeting places.

That is why PingProperties will be redeveloping and repositioning the site to create a lively area under the name: Dutch Tech Campus. The master plan for the Dutch Tech Campus combines work, cooperation and relaxation in green surroundings. A network of smart technology, ICT and logistics enterprises will be created on the site. Existing businesses, start-ups, visitors and students can share knowledge and work together, creating an inspiring working environment with mutual synergy benefits. Besides the office, business and production space, the site will offer a range of facilities and amenities, such as a central reception desk and reception area, a brasserie that can also accommodate drinks gatherings, green spaces, a science café, fitness suite, dry-cleaning service etc. PingProperties has already been involved in discussions for some time with the businesses on the site and with the Municipality of Zoetermeer on the details of its plans. Everyone is extremely enthusiastic and the first changes will be completed as early as mid-2015.
