PingProperties refinances DNV GL building with Berlin Hyp
28-07-2020
PingProperties has concluded a refinancing deal for the DNV GL (formerly DNV KEMA) building in Arnhem for the PingProperties Corporate Office Fund VIII. The current financing arrangement was already with Berlin Hyp and has now been renewed. PingProperties itself arranged the renewal of the fund financing. The complex has a floor area of 9,901 m² and has 180 parking spaces.
From an outdated office building to sustainable and modern business premises
DNV GL is the world’s largest classification society for ships and offshore installations. Its head office is located on the Energy Business Park. The building itself has four sections which are linked to each other by an aerial glass walkway.
PingProperties purchased the property in 2015. Following the purchase, the building underwent a large-scale renovation, when the interior was modernized and various improvements were made to the facades. Substantial investments were also made to improve the sustainability of the building. This involved, amongst other things, the installation of a Thermal Energy Storage system, solar panels and a new climate and control engineering system. This has resulted in a BREEAM-EXCELLENT status and an energy label A. DNV GL has committed itself to the location for the long term (until 2030).
