PingProperties achieves Energylabel A for Canon Nederland's head office

11-07-2019

This month, PingProperties has improved the sustainability of Canon Nederland’s head office at Brabantlaan 2 in ’s-Hertogenbosch. As a result, the building now has an energy label A, thanks to substantial improvements made in the roof insulation and the installation of almost 600 solar panels on the roof. By replacing the existing roof insulation, energy loss has been reduced to a minimum. At the same time, the solar panels are expected to generate more than 160,000 kWh each year. The building also has its own thermal energy system, making it one of the most sustainable buildings in ’s-Hertogenbosch today. The fact that Canon Nederland now has an energy label A for its head office is entirely in line with PingProperties’ ambition to make far-reaching sustainability improvements to its portfolio.

93% of the portfolio has energy label A
Making existing offices sustainable has been on the agenda at PingProperties for many years. Buildings are equipped with energy-saving lighting as well as intelligent and energy-efficient heating, cooling, ventilation and solar panels. PingProperties expects that by the end of 2019 more than 93% of its corporate office portfolio will have energy label A or higher, making PingProperties one of the major leaders in sustainability.

The power of sustainable business
The power of sustainability is found in the intensive collaboration between the lessee and the lessor, which makes the sustainability processes feasible and profitable. PingProperties is ensuring that all its buildings become and remain future-proof in the coming years.
