PingProperties renews lease with Centrum voor Jeugd en Gezin Rijnmond
26-07-2019
PingProperties has reached agreement with Centrum voor Jeugd en Gezin Rijnmond (Rijmond Youth and Family Centre) regarding a long-term renewal of the lease for the office complex at Rotterdam’s Eudokiaplein mixed-use complex. The centre has leased premises here since 2010. Occupying a total of approximately 992 square meters in office space, it is one of the largest users in this category. This renewal is in line with PingProperties’ strategy of committing tenants to the Eudokiaplein development for an extended period of time.
About Eudokiaplein
The Eudokiaplein residential, retail and business complex is located in the heart of North Rotterdam and faces the Hofbogen railway viaduct. The district has been attracting a growing number of young, affluent residents, having quickly become one of the city’s trendy and up-and-coming areas. The office section is home to various non-profits dedicated to public, healthcare and welfare services, including the North Rotterdam branch of the city store of the City of Rotterdam (which issues passports, driving licences and other official documents to residents) and various NGOs and healthcare institutions (including the Stichting Laurens chain of care homes). These tenants tend to increase the area’s appeal to other potential tenants, and their organisations are well integrated into both the environment and the complex. The centre serves an important purpose in the community: attracting more than 55,000 visitors a week, its retail section (the Europaplein shopping centre) offers grocery retail outlets to a large number of North Rotterdam residents, with major supermarket chains such as Albert Heijn and Aldi represented.
