27-02-2014

PingProperties and Siemens Netherlands have chosen BAM HABO as a partner for the renovation and preservation of the headquarters located at the Princess Beatrixlaan in The Hague. In mid-February work has begun on the buildings consisting of approximately 29,000 sqm. Completion is scheduled for late April 2016.

After the renovation the buildings will meet to the LEED Gold standard for New Constructions and Major Renovations, a high certification for energy efficiency. The floors will be decorated according to the Siemens office concept, which is based on time- and location- independent working and encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing. This gives the Siemens employees a pleasant and well facilitated environment, which enables them to increase their productivity.

In addition to the renovations tenant Siemens and owner PingProperties Corporate Office Fund VII have commissioned BAM HABO for performance-oriented management and maintenance of the property until October 2025.

“We are very pleased with the shown confidence in us and will ensure that the Siemens headquarters will soon meet the sustainability requirements of the future”, says Chris Pronk, branch manager of BAM HABO.

Paula Batist, project manager Real Estate Siemens Netherlands: “BAM and PingProperties think along, such as the innovative logistics methodology that they apply to this project. This ensures that the nuisance is not only limited for the Siemens organization, but also for the environment. This fits perfectly with our sustainability ambitions.”

Bart Scholten, Chief Investment Officer at PingProperties: “BAM as executor of the renovation and preservation work has direct influence on the maintenance of the coming years. By assigning BAM for the long-term maintenance of the entire complex, the responsibility and commitment of BAM increases.” PingProperties and BAM have a similar cooperation with TenneT’s headquarters in Arnhem.
