PingProperties maximizes sustainability of Canon Nederland head office
01-05-2018
PingProperties is carrying out extensive work for its PingProperties Corporate Fund V, to maximize the sustainability of Canon Nederland’s head office at Brabantlaan 2 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Solar panels and TES
The sustainability work involves installing 594 solar panels on the roof, which will generate more than 150,000 kWh a year. This work will be completed during the third quarter of this year. Heat and cold are already partially generated by means of a Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system in the ground. Besides the heat and cold, the system also generates electricity. All this sustainability work will bring the building up to energy label A, making it a model of sustainability.
Good cooperation between the lessee and lessor is essential
Thanks to intensive cooperation between the lessee and lessor, this sustainability work is feasible and profitable. PingProperties recognizes the importance of sustainability and continually works to improve the sustainability of its portfolio. Already 77% of the office portfolio has energy label C or higher, making PingProperties one of the market leaders in sustainability.
