PingProperties leases Jacobsweerd building in Utrecht to the Chamber of Commerce as its new central offices
14-10-2014
PingProperties recently reached agreement on the lease of 4,044 m² of office space and 70 parking spaces to the Chamber of Commerce for its offices in the Jacobsweerd building, located at Sint Jacobsstraat 200-500 in Utrecht. Part of this transaction involves the purchase of the Chamber of Commerce’s existing building on Kroonstraat in Utrecht.
The Chamber of Commerce is familiar with the location, having already been accommodated for a number of years in the building behind Jacobsweerd to its full satisfaction. The reason now for deciding on Jacobsweerd is its excellent position which will give the Chamber of Commerce the opportunity for much greater exposure than at the current location, as well as the fact that PingProperties will fully renovate the Jacobsweerd building and deliver it in turnkey condition. The new offices for the Chamber of Commerce will have a public function for businesses as well as workspace for the Board of Directors, executive departments and advisers.
The Jacobsweerd building is part of the PingProperties Corporate Office fund I. It is located on one of the major thoroughfares to Utrecht city centre; a street that will be completely transformed by the municipality in 2015 to create an entirely new streetscape. Jacobsweerd is being renovated as a modern office building with exceptionally high-quality facilities and a smart modern entrance to make the new facade entirely in keeping with the new streetscape.
