28-03-2017

On behalf of the ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund, a.s.r. Vastgoed Vermogensbeheer has purchased the ABN AMRO office building at Daalsesingel in Utrecht from PingProperties. The building, with a floor area of 8,250 m2, meets all of today’s requirements and is exceptionally sustainable, with energy label A and the BREEAM-NL In-Use ‘Very Good’ certificate.

Pieter Vandeginste, Fund Director of the ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund: ‘The office building at Daalsesingel is a perfect fit for the Dutch Mobility Office Fund’s strategy. Its location is ideal, close to the main mobility hub of the Netherlands, Utrecht Central Public Transport Terminal. This makes it extremely accessible by both public transport and car . With an energy label A and a BREEAM-NL In-Use ‘Very Good’ certificate, it is also in keeping with the fund’s CSR strategy. In short, an excellent acquisition that will contribute to the fund’s growth ambitions.’

The office building at Daalsesingel 51-71, comprising a floor area of 8,250 m² and 100 parking spaces, is fully let to ABN AMRO. The building is at a prime location immediately adjacent to Utrecht Central Station, an area that is being completely redeveloped and made greener by the Municipality. Catharijnesingel, which was filled in 40 years ago, has had water flowing in it again since 2016, cars are giving way to pedestrian routes along the waterfront and space is being created for cafes, restaurants and shops.

PingProperties was advised in this transaction by Loyens & Loeff and Cushman & Wakefield. a.s.r. vastgoed vermogensbeheer was advised by Houthoff Buruma.
